NO DAY BUT TODAY

One of my brothers graciously treated me to see the Broadway show "Rent" last night. I went with Jen, Joelf, Alli, and AnnMarie. We sat 4th row, center! There is NO better way to see a play! Some might find the subject matter of "Rent" a little controversial, but I enjoy the message of love, hope, and getting the most out of life.

WOMEN OF FAITH IN PORTLAND

Hi all,
This is a call out to you local Portlanders who might have connections to discounted tickets for this Fall's Women of Faith conference. The most obvious discount I can see on their web site is for group ticket sales. All that's required is a group of 10. Is your church planning on this? Ours is not (they do WOF every other year) so it would be great if me and 2 of my friends could get our tickets through your group so we could take advantage of the discount.....

3rd ANNUAL PARADE OF PUPPETY ODDBALLS

We do a fundraiser at my work every year and the proceeds go to a need family at Christmas time. How do we make the money? We charge a $1 per item entry fee. People bring weird stuff from their desk. Some people even make floats! It's all very creative and everybody seems to love it. Here's the YouTube link to the video from today's parade.
